How to complete HedgerX KYC verification
HedgerX has three verification levels. Level 1 comes with registration, Level 2 needs an ID document and a face scan, and Level 3 needs proof of address. The level sets your daily withdrawal limit.
HedgerX accepts a passport or a national ID card. It does not accept a driver's licence, student ID, visa, residence permit or domestic passport.
KYC is not supported for citizens of mainland China. HedgerX also lists Turkey, Kazakhstan and Indonesia as restricted countries, and users under 18 cannot verify.
Steps in the app
- Open your profile. Tap the profile icon to open Account Settings, then tap Unverified or Verify Now.
- Start verification. Tap Verify Now.
- Enter your details. Select your nationality, country of residence and ID type, then enter your full name and ID number. They must match the document exactly.
- Follow the prompts. Upload the document in colour with all four corners visible and complete the face check, then submit.
- Wait for the review. HedgerX says review usually takes 1 to 24 hours. When it is approved, Level 2 Primary Verification appears on the Verification Center page.
- Add Level 3 if you need it. Submit proof of address, such as a utility bill, to remove the daily withdrawal limit.

- Photograph the document in colour and good light, with all four corners visible.
- Upload both sides if the document has two.
- For the face check, centre your face, light it well and remove anything that covers it.
If verification keeps failing, contact customer support for a manual review.
Security changes lock withdrawals
HedgerX locks crypto and fiat withdrawals for 24 hours after you change a password, a trading PIN or two-factor authentication. Finish those changes before you plan a withdrawal.

Is KYC required?
HedgerX says every user must complete at least Level 1, which comes automatically with registration. Higher levels raise withdrawal limits.
Why was my verification rejected?
The usual reasons are details that differ from the document, a blurry or black-and-white image, an expired or cropped document, a failed face check, a restricted country, an age under 18, or an ID already used on another account. HedgerX notifies you by email or in the account with the reason.
Can I use the same ID for two accounts?
No. Each person can verify one account, and a duplicate ID causes the verification to fail.
Can I change my KYC details later?
Not after approval. If a legal change such as a new name requires it, contact customer support with valid legal documents.
Should I use a service that does KYC for me?
No. HedgerX warns against completing KYC through third-party services or agents because of the risk of data leakage and fraud.
