HedgerX HEX token: supply, burns and what the whitepaper leaves out
HEX is the utility token of the HedgerX ecosystem, on BNB Smart Chain. This page covers the figures in whitepaper V1.0 (July 2026), where HedgerX programs use HEX and which plans are still to be confirmed.
Facts from the whitepaper
- BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain, 18 decimals.
- Maximum supply of 210,000,000 HEX.
- Long-term supply target of 21,000,000 HEX, through buybacks and burns.
- The whitepaper calls HEX a utility token, not a security.
Not yet publicly confirmed
- Audits, burn addresses and a vesting schedule. The whitepaper says they will be published or set up.
What HEX is and what it is not
The whitepaper calls HEX "the core utility token of the HedgerX ecosystem". The token ties together trading benefits, ecosystem applications, incentives, buybacks and burns, and planned on-chain infrastructure.
The whitepaper also says what HEX is not: merely a fee-discount token, the token of one application, an internal point, a short-term return promise, or a speculative asset detached from operating fundamentals.
HEX on HedgerX is unrelated to the token also called HEX on Ethereum.

HEX tokenomics: how the 210,000,000 HEX are allocated
The largest share, 55%, goes to a mining and burn pool for trading mining, incentives and burns, and the team holds 5%. The whitepaper publishes no vesting or release schedule for any share, so we cannot tell how much is or will be in circulation.

The 21,000,000 target and the seven burn sources
The whitepaper sets a long-term target supply of 21,000,000 HEX. That is 189,000,000 fewer than the maximum, a 90% reduction. It is a target, and the whitepaper gives no dates for it.
Reaching it means burning 189,000,000 HEX. The mining and burn pool holds 115,500,000 and also pays mining and incentive rewards, so part of the burn would have to come from tokens outside that pool. That is our reading of the figures. The whitepaper does not show how the full amount is reached, and it does not state what share of revenue goes to buybacks.
Burn sources named in the whitepaper
- Trading-fee buyback and burn
- A portion of revenue from spot, derivatives and other trading services buys back HEX periodically, and the tokens are burned.
- Application consumption
- Partner and incubated applications use HEX for payments, discounts, access rights and fees, which creates recurring burns.
- Launchpad and Launchpool
- Project allocations, early access and allowlist status come from holding, locking, consuming or burning HEX.
- Ecosystem onboarding
- Service, collateral, deployment and resource fees paid in HEX by partners, developers and merchants.
- Token payments
- A portion of HEX used to pay fees is permanently removed from supply.
- Research and Grants
- HEX funds research, grants and incubation. The whitepaper lists this among the uses that drive supply reduction.
- On-chain gas
- Once a HedgerX chain or layer 2 exists, HEX is meant to pay gas, and gas is burned.
Where HedgerX programs use HEX today
- Hedger AI Core Charging
- HEX can be used to charge, and HEX used this way is burned. Half of the daily benefits are paid in HEX. HEX can also be exchanged for a transfer quota, calculated as the HEX amount times its real-time price times 20.
- Hedger Pay
- Packages can be bought with the HedgerX token at a 10% discount, and those tokens are burned. Half of the daily base release is paid in the token.
- The exchange
- The whitepaper lists spot and derivatives fee discounts, VIP tiers and trading tasks.
The documents do not say where the real-time HEX price used for the quota comes from.
What the whitepaper says HEX is used for
Trading benefits
Spot and derivatives fee discounts, VIP tiers, benefits for institutional and high-volume users and market makers, and trading-task incentives.
Ecosystem applications
In-application payments, service-fee discounts, access rights, feature unlocking and ecosystem tasks.
Launchpad and Launchpool
New-project allocation, allowlist eligibility, early access, Launchpool participation and project airdrops.
Community growth
Referral rewards, community tasks, content incentives, campaign rewards and regional-market incentives.
Research and Grants
Developer funding, ecosystem-project support, research incentives and application incubation.
Future on-chain use
Gas, settlement, staking, governance and developer incentives on a planned HedgerX chain, layer 2 or settlement layer.
Governance and the five-phase roadmap
Governance, in four phases
The whitepaper says governance will start platform-led and decentralize as the ecosystem matures. Its scope includes ecosystem-project onboarding, Launchpad voting, Grant allocation, fund use, application incentives and burn-parameter adjustment.
- Platform-led governance
- Community proposals and feedback
- Token-holder participation
- Open ecosystem governance
Roadmap, in five phases
The whitepaper gives no dates. HedgerX Chain, a layer 2 and a settlement layer are plans, not products.
- Core exchange ecosystem. HEX listing, trading-fee discounts, VIP benefits, trading tasks, community incentives and liquidity.
- Multi-application ecosystem. Partner and incubated ecosystems, application consumption and Launchpad and Launchpool expansion.
- Cycle-resilient ecosystem. Recurring purchases of major assets, risk-mitigated allocation products, Research, early-stage positioning and Grants.
- Enhanced buyback and burn. Periodic buybacks, publicly verifiable burns, token-payment burns and progress toward 21,000,000.
- Open on-chain ecosystem. HedgerX Chain or layer 2, HEX as gas, on-chain settlement, developer ecosystem and on-chain governance.
What the whitepaper promises to publish and what we found
Promised in the whitepaper
- Public records
- Token contract, burn addresses, buyback records and reserve addresses.
- Supply data
- Circulating-supply disclosures, periodic ecosystem reports and burn reports.
- Security controls
- Smart-contract audits, multi-signature controls and treasury security management.
What we found
- The contract address is published in the whitepaper.
- The documents we reviewed do not yet include burn addresses, buyback records, reserve addresses, circulating-supply figures or an audit report.
Legal status and risks
The whitepaper says HEX does not represent a security, equity interest, debt instrument, fund unit or financial derivative, and that it is not investment advice or a return commitment. That is the issuer's statement, not a legal finding, and rules differ by country.
- Price risk
- The whitepaper says HEX's value depends on market supply and demand, ecosystem development, user participation, trading activity and market conditions.
- No vesting schedule
- How much of each allocation is released, and when, is not stated.
- A target, not a result
- The 21,000,000 supply target has no dates and no stated buyback share.
- Controls in the future tense
- Audits, multisig controls, burn addresses and reports are described as things HedgerX will establish.
- Plans, not products
- The chain, layer 2, settlement layer and token-holder governance do not exist yet.
- Payouts in HEX
- Half of the daily benefits in Hedger AI and Hedger Pay are paid in HEX, so their value moves with its price.
- Other risks the whitepaper lists
- Regulatory, technology, ecosystem-execution, liquidity, competition, third-party, smart-contract and cybersecurity risk.
