How to trade spot on HedgerX
Transfer funds to the spot account, open Spot, pick a pair, choose a limit or market order and press Buy or Sell. Spot has no leverage and no liquidation.
Check the fee on your pair before you trade. The fee page lists 0.6% for BTC/USDT and HEX/USDT and 0.2% for most other pairs.
Spot trading steps
- Fund the spot account. Transfer enough assets from your funding account to the spot account.
- Open Spot. Tap Spot in the bottom menu of the app.
- Select a pair. Tap the pair name at the top left or use the search bar, for example ETH/USDT.
- Choose the order type. Limit sets your price. Market fills at once at the best available price.
- Enter price and amount. For a limit order enter the price and the quantity, or drag the percentage slider. For a market order choose the USDT value.
- Press Buy or Sell.
- Check your orders. Open Orders shows pending orders, which you can cancel. History shows filled, cancelled and failed orders and the fee deducted.
Spot means you trade the asset itself at the current price and own it once the trade completes. HedgerX states that spot trading uses only your own funds, with no borrowing or margin.
HedgerX’s terms say it may reject a trade when the balance cannot cover the trading fee, so keep a small buffer above the order size.
